[ARTICLE] - Omega LRP combat article written for The Scribe Magazine

Wondering what it's like? Here's some written feedback from our players:

"Omega is the best larp to come along in a long time"

"Absolutely storming event. I'm so up about it all, that I can't think of anything to criticise."

"Standards of phys reps and costumes are almost universally high, which is good to see"

Plot:"Extremely good, I consider it a triumph when I can't tell whether a person is a PC or an NPC. It's also a triumph when I don't realise I am being fed plot until it's too late :-)"
"For the first time ever someone has catered for the small groups. Great." "As a newbie to the system I was looking forward to trying something new, and I wasn't disappointed, it was a highly enjoyable weekend. There was a a lot more character interaction than I have seen at any CP, LT event, and I have good experience of both, never before have so many strange and bizzare people walked up to me and talked at me, ..."

Campaign: "Very interesting and well thought out."
"Very good, lots of detail."
"Excellent, I really liked the closed-world system. Also there is an excellent IC justification for things being the way they are... top."
"It's becoming apparent that it's rather complex, detailed, in-depth and interesting."

Rules: "Downtime: An excellent idea, every LRP system should have one"
"I like the magic system, it's very flexible"
"I love the huge range of craft options... I find that I'm quite jealous of the poisoners and herbalists though, because they get recipes to go with their abilities to identify things"

Combat: "It is indicative of the system though that, despite the lethality of combat, of three people in the car going up to the event, not one of us had packed weapons or armour. Splendid! "
"I like the grim and gritty feel, as there is a real chance of dying, unlike some systems!"

Logistics: "Refs always around, no huge waits and no hassles despite the lateness of the hour"
"The site crew were brilliant and could not help enough."
"Very well organised"
"Staff were always courtous, always helpful and usually cheerful...an example of how things should work."
"Very good, very friendly"
