Violet Illumination tavern nights are for pre-booked players only - please do NOT just turn up on the night as you will be turned away!

VI expects most attendees to be playing their primary character. You may play a secondary (that you have previously created in 'My Maelstrom'), however the official PD 'playing a secondary character' rules will be in effect e.g. "not allowed to take offensive action or unduly influence the campaign world..." etc.

If have not played at PD before, you will first need to go to the official PD website, open a 'My Maelstrom' account and create a character. The only restriction is that you cannot choose a blessing, exactly as if you had paid on the gate for a PD main-event. At our event you will receive new character materials including lore and briefing sheets, but coins, lammies and resources are held in abeyance until you attend your first PD main-event. If you are non-human please read carefully the public information from the rulebook, and in particular follow the minimum Phys-rep rules.

VI tavern night events usually take place only a few days after the last PD fest event has ended. It is official Profound Decisions policy that tavern nights occur before any downtime actions take place, ensuring there will be no conflict between your downtime submission and attending our event.

VI will accept bookings by mail, at PD fest events or online. The latter will require you to either have a credit card or a Paypal account. In addition you must already have a Profound Decisions user account and a valid character. For authentication and to save repetition VI uses data provided by Profound Decisions, thus by completing your login below you are giving Profound Decisions permission to pass on your personal and character details to VI.

Attending a VI tavern night costs £10 for an early booking, but if spaces are still available it costs £15 for a late booking. If you wish to book space to stay overnight in the main hall and have a full cooked breakfast the next morning then you will need to pay an additional £10.
